We use these cables for our bigger pictures and to hold up multiple metal boards. It works very well. As these metal cables do not curl like the plastic ones, best to measure the length you need so that you do not have spare cable sticking downwards.

The STAS cobra with steel cable is a strong and well designed component of the picture hanging system.  It is easily hooked into the bottom of the rail system without the need to slide it in from an open end (Great feature!).  It can then be slid within the track of the rail for positioning.  The steel cable is strong, and the excess length can be coiled behind the hanging artwork.
